DAILY BLOG: Alexis T. (Tue, Sept 14)

As we came in the classroom we began our daily routine by doing warm ups. We are given an amount of time to finish. As soon as we are done, we can challenge our brains with mazes. When our time is up we go over our warm ups such as math and geography. In our warm ups we learned about how many continents are in the hemispheres. When we finished, we began preparing for the Star-Spangled Banner. Today is the anniversary of when Francis Scott Key wrote the national anthem.

At 9:00 am we sang the Star Spangled Banner with every other school in Castro Valley. After this event, we corrected our homework. We went over our language arts homework about interjections. Then we begun math by completing pages out of our math book. We did a page about math vocabulary and had an assignment with our clock partner. As we finished our assignment we could do our September packet.

At 9:43 am band students left to learn about their instruments. At 10:30 we had recess. When we came back, there was a question on the board. As we started our lesson on language arts we had a conversation on what it means to be a baseball maven.

Afterwards, we got back to work and wrote seven sentences with our seven robust vocabulary words. As we continued, the class did a paper on our spelling list about words with long vowels. Following that, we read Line Drive with a partner and completed page eight in our Practice Book which was a story map. Then we had lunch.

When we came back we discussed about the Quarterback Club. We updated our predictions and wrote down our fraction of correct predictions and accuracy percentage. After we finished, we did silent reading, wrote down our homework, and ended our day.
