The Daily Blog (Mar 5) - Brenda

Today before class, Hailey, Zeli, Claire, and I went in the classroom to ehlp Mr. McMurray. It was just as freezing as it was outside thought. Mr. McMurray told us to go in because we had to put down the chairs. After we did that we each got a Proctor Pride pPoint. Then Sarah walked in, and we started talking about our science fair projects. We talked about how Zeli was going to be doing toothpaste.

Around the time of 8:05, Mr. McMurray had to go up and pick-up the class. When we were up there people saw dog poop. A lot of people were about to step in it, too. Later, someone did step on it. Then he went around and tried to wipe it on people. It was disgusting!

When we got back to the classroom the teacher told us that we were going to take the spelling test today. Then we talked about the story Mom’s Best Friend. It is about a woman who is blind. She has a dog guide that has been with her familiy for many years. One day the dog dies. So she needs to get a new dog. The story explains how their new dog was traind and became just as important a part of their family as their first dog.

At 8:45, we had P.E. We did curl-ups and it was for the Healthy Fitness testing. While we did it people had to run the mile on the blacktop. Then after or before the mile they get free choice to play with basketballs, balance boards, Helicopter, etc

Then Mr. McMurray picked us up and we got an Awesome in P.E! That also means we get to add $5 McMurray Bucks back in class.

It was then time for our spelling test. But before the spelling test, the class was pretty noisy. Maybe the class next door can even hear us. Mr. McMurray reminded us to be quiet in the classroom.

When we finished the spelling test, we we worked on our social studies. We got to partner up with whomever kid we would like to. Then we did the work. Mr. McMurray also corrected it with us.

Before the bell had rung we got to go five minutes earlier than the regular time. There was also an intramural basketball game with a few kids from our class. I don’t know what team would win.

After recess, we went back to class and did silent lent reading for about 30 minutes. Then we learned a new lesson on math vocabulary and algebraic expressions. We got about 20 minutes to work on it by ourselves. Mr. McMurray then came up and corrected it with us.

At 12:30 we went to lunch. There were hot dogs, mashed potatoes, and gravy. During lunch recess I had to sub for G’ana's intramural basketball team, and G’ana's team won they were so happy. Then we lined up and went to violin, viola, cello, and choir.

After music, we continued math when we got back to class. The activity was to complete a maze by writing algebraic expressions.

We finished the day up by going up to the upper field. We had two basketball games going on: one for the girls, and one for the boys. Then we were dismissd when the bell rang.
