The Daily Blog (Oct 15) - Zeli

Hi! My name is Zeli and I am your Roving Reporter. First, the bell rang. Mr. McMurray came and got us. We came to class and we satdown and he started talking about earthquakes and what we do when there is one.

One group left to the Computer Lab, and with the other group in theclassroom, Mr. McMurray showed us a little mpa. THen we checked homework. After that, he talked about Literature Circle jobs.

The other group came back and the students in class went to the Computer Lab. We played on games in the Computer Lab for a little bit. When we came back to our class, everybody started their Daily Exercises.

Then we did our Earthquake Drill. We went outside and sat in line. After that, we went to recess. Then we came back inside and got our math notebooks. We did the Problem of the Day. Julia read it.

After we reviewed the Problem of the Day, Mr. McMurray talked about prime numbers and composite numbers. Then we went to lunch.

After lunch we came back to class and it was D.E.A.R. (drop everything and read). A couple of people went to the computers here in the class. Some went in the back with Mr. McMurray to work on math. After all that, we got our Scholastic News and did a little play.

It was Kannen, G'ana, Tommy, Claire, Julia, Christian, Leo, Elliott, David, Ondray, Dominic, Sarah, and I. The play was about if the Great Depression were covered with the kind of news reporting we have today. We got a better idea of what happened to the people in the United States during that difficult time and how things improved.

We got our homework down and got our books. At 2:50 we ended our day at Proctor Elementary.
