The Daily Blog (Sept 29) - Kannen

When we got into the classroom this morning, we learned about the Power Outline, which shows us how to write an essay. Using the Power Outline, the class started on our weekly essay about why the Rottweiler is the best family pet.

Next, Mr. McMurray posted five paperclips to the Paperclip Chain, because every student did their homework. When the paperclips reach the bottom of the chalkboard, the class gets to have a party.

After that, we watched a video about the atmosphere on Earth and the atmosphere on other planets such as: Mercury, Venus, and Jupiter.

We had to stop the video, because it was time for science with Ms. Foy-Couche! During science we learned about the different kinds of clouds. The only name that I remember is cirrus, which is a puffy cloud.

Our science class continued following morning recess and we learned about how condensation and precipitation are formed in the clouds. When science was over, some students took a math pretest on division and others finished up on yesterday's chapter test on multiplication.

Once lunch recess was over, we read for about 30 minutes while others finished their pretest.

For our last activity of the day, we did our Social Studies projects in small groups on our on how the Native Americans survived in the different regions of America.

Finally, after another great day at Proctor Elementary School, we wrote down our homework, packed up our things and went home.
