The Daily Blog (Sept 16) - Leo

I got to school today just as my class was heading to the flag assembly. When we got to the lower playground we sat down waiting for Ms. Garcia to start the Pledge of Allegiance.

After the Pledge of Allegiance was finished, we sat back down as Mrs. Zoffada was heading up to tell us about the Walk-a-thon. She said that the Walk-a-thon is coming in three weeks and that if you bring in $600 in pledges, you get a limousine ride to Super Franks!

Then we went to the classroom and started working on our Daily Exercises. When we were finished, we checked our math homework, which was page SR1, with such problems as finding the median and mode of charts and the perimeter of figures.

At 10:05, we went to recess and played on the upper playground.

When we were done with that we went back to the classroom and checked our science homework, which was about water on earth.

Once we completed checking our science, we had our first spelling test, which included words
such as: “bunk,” “rough,” “trek,” “frantic,” and many more. Before the test, Mr. McMurray reminded us to have good penmanship.

Following the spelling test, we had a math pre-test, which covered multiplication. When we were done we read a chapter book.

At 11:00 A.M. we read about the First Americans. After that, Mr. McMurray showed us his 50-state quarter collection and all the logos that are on them, especially the ones with connections to the First Americans.

Finally, we wrote down our homework and left at the end of another great day at school.
