The Daily Blog (Sept 15) - Brenda

Today was Tuesday and Claire, Justin and Griffin were absent. Since Griffin was the President and he was absent, Tommy had to do the flag salute because he was the Vice-President.

After that, Mr. McMurray explained the math test that we were going to take that afternoon. He explained that there were sixteen questions. Once he finished explaining, we corrected the Earthquake Terror packet. Everyone got called on.

Mr.McMurray also used the white board for showing the short vowel words from this week's spelling list. Once we finished, we played the game Buzz where we spell the word that Mr. McMurray tells us but when we get to a vowel we say buzz. If we don’t, or say the wrong word, he will ring the bell and we are out. It was fun but also challenging.

Nathan, Eric, Mason, Yanetzeli, and other people got out. The people and me who did not get eliminated earned $5 McMurray Bucks.

We then took the math test and I was one of the first ones to finish. I thought that the math test was pretty easy. We also put up blue privacy screens so no one could see our work.

At 10:05 a.m., we went to science.

Mrs. Foy-Couche placed us in our new seats. Then Mrs. Foy-Couche said that we didn’t have to do paper work. Then everyone shouted, “ YEAH!” The science teacher explained how to do our experiment. We used hot wheel tracks, sponges, tubes, and water.

Then, it was recess and everyone raced up the stairs to the upper playground. I saw everyone have fun one the playground, the black top, and the grass. I saw people play basketball, kickball, soccer, and tag. Then the yard duty blew the whistle and every one lined up.

Next, our science teacher picked us up so we could continue science. We had a lot of fun this time at science. A while later Mr. McMurray came to the science room and started to take pictures. Then we had to leave science.

When we got back to the classroom we did our daily exercises. While the people who didn’t finish their math test had to finish it. After that we had to do our robot essay. In the middle when I was doing my robot essay, Mr. McMurray told me to help him sort the book orders.

Once we finished, we had a science and a reading comprehension test. It seemed really easy to me. After we finished the test we were to put it in our mailbox. Then we were to put our blue privacy screens in a neat pile.

At the end of the day, Mr. McMurray gave us our homework, which was science and math. Then Mr. McMurray announced the quiet seat that was Madison! She got her $5 to add to her account. Then we were dismissed at 2:50.
