The Daily Blog - Melina (Sept 28)

The first thing we did in the morning was warm-ups as usual. And then we went to library in groups for the first time. Group 2 was doing math on the "predict and test" strategy for solving problems while Group 1 was checking out books. Group 1 completed the math lesson after they returned from the library and Group 2 went to check out books.

Following our library visit and recess we read "Chang and the Bamboo Flute." After reading through the story, we did rotation groups. We were split up into three activities: Think Critically reading comprehension questions from the story, math review for tomorrow's multiplication test, and this week's science lesson on how clouds form.

After lunch, Mr. McMurray read I.Q. and then we continued working on our social studies mobile on the cultural regions of Native Americans.

At the end of the day, we played a very tiring game of kickball.
