Daily Blog: Daisy

To start off the day we went into the classroom and did our warm-ups. The things we did were math and cursive. We also did some things on the four hemispheres until 9:00.

After we did warm-ups and corrected it we went on to math. With our 12 o’clock partners, we did the Chapter 1 review. At 9:40 we went to P.E.

In P.E. we started with a warm-up lap then stretched. After stretching we went up to the upper playground and did ¼-mile run. Playing with Frisbees was what we did until recess.

After recess Mr. McMurray told us that the custodian and Mrs. Dunn were putting up wires in our classroom to connect the computer to the TV. Because the room was occupied, he organized a game of kickball on the baseball diamond until 12:00. Wow, we played for about an hour. Ryan's team and Megan's team tied, 6-6.

Our next activity was working on our autobiographical composition outline. Mr. McMurray taught us how to write something called a Power Outline, which we're supposed to use as a pre-writing strategy before we write our essay. At 12:30 we went to lunch.

Anyone that wanted to be in the Student Council would go to Room 16, our classroom, after they ate lunch for a meeting.

Silent reading was after lunch. We read for approximately 20 to 30 minutes. Mr. McMurray read a book named, IQ. I think we read the book for 15 minutes.

History was after the book. We were learning about cultural regions. Mr. McMurray said we’re going to have to do a project on it. Some people would get Desert Southwest, Pacific Northwest, Eastern Woodlands, or Great Plains for their regions. He told us what our homework assignments were after the cultural regions. That was just our whole day in school!
