The Daily Blog (Dec 1) - Kannen

When we first entered the classroom, Mr. McMurray had a few math problems on the white board for us to work on. After we finished, Mr. McMurray taught us different ways to simplify a fraction. After that, we worked on the Problem of the Day when we were asked to add two fractions. Then, Mr. McMurray showed us how to add fractions.

Then we checked our homework, and we started with math. We worked on problems 1 through 8 on are assignment, and then we started language arts. We were supposed to circle the right verb in each sentence. After, we went over our study guide for our science test on Friday.

After we finished checking our work, we headed off to science class. In science, Ms. Foy-Couche (our science teacher) had us catch up on an earlier assignment. After recess, we went straight back to science. We then played a card game about the planets. In the game, one person takes a planet card and thinks of a category to challenge the opponent. For example, if the Jupiter card is pulled out, you can challenge them in biggest planet category.

When science was over, we went strait to Buddies. We worked on a December calendar with the kindergarteners. After Buddies, Mr. McMurray read aloud the book our class is listening to: Among the Hidden.

After lunch, we went to recess. At recess, the Demons and 49ers had an epic game with a final score of 6-0 Demons. When we got back to class, we had silent reading time while Mr. McMurray tested kids on their Reading Fluency Test. Then, my classmates and I worked on our Newspaper Book Reports. When Mr. McMurray told us to stop, we got out our Binder Reminders to write down our homework.

After another great day at Proctor, it was time to leave and go home.
