It was 8:05 a.m. and another spectacular day at school. As soon as we got inside the classroom, we put our chairs down and did the flag salute. We sat down and some of us shared what we did over the weekend and they were all very amazing.
Next, we did a multiplication worksheet. We had to do 90 problems in 3:30 minutes. Some of us got 100% and some just missed one, two or even more. We had to give it back to Mr. McMurray .
After that, we did the Problem of the Day. We do a special math problem every day at the start of our lesson and we call it the Problem of the Day. It’s ether multiplication, division, adding, or subtraction but in this chapter it's multiplication.
Then, some of us went to band. The instruments that went were saxophone, trombone, clarinets, bells, trumpets, and flutes. I play saxophone so I had to go. We played the following: Claire de Lune, Down By the Station, and many more.
Once that was done, band students came back to class. We talked about one time we tried to talk our parents into getting us something we wanted. For some of us, we got what we wanted, and the rest of us didn’t get what we wanted.
When we finished talking about our parents, we wrote an essay. The essay was called The Best Family Pet. Some of us did it in 5 minutes and some of us finished less or more than 5 minutes. Then we had to leave to recess.
Upon returning from recess, some of us were finishing our essay while the rest of us did our Earthquake Terror projects. Our project is based ona story we read called Earthquake Terror. It’s about this family that went on a vacation and the parents leave the kids by themselves on the island because the mom broke her ankle and the dad had to take her to a nearby hospital. We had to leave at 12:30 for lunch.
After, lunch we went to P.E. We played a game called volleyball tennis. It’s when you serve the ball like a volleyball and then it bounces in front of the person in front of you. It was fun. The boys got to face the girls but we really weren’t keeping score.
Finally, after P.E. we went back to class. As soon as we got in the class room we felt the cool breeze from the air conditioning. We spent the rest of our day finishing our Earthquake Terror projects. The day came to a short end packing up all of our stuff.
I can’t wait for another spectacular day tomorrow!
