Recap: I can't believe my luck! This is the first year I've won the Quarterback Club. It was extremely close this year. Jacoby, Kailey, and Rachel made quite a competition out this year weekly contest. However, I was good enough for 12 correct picks this week, which gave me a 2-point cushion in the final standings. Jacoby and Rachel wound up in a 2nd place tie. Kailey took 3rd place and a spot on the podium. Thank you, boys and girls, for making the Quarterback Club a fun part of our class.

The QB Club is something Room 16 has been doing once a week since school began. It usually takes up 3 minutes of class time to make predictions for the weekly NFL games each week. And now that our 17 weeks of data gathering, prediction making, and experiment are over, we are going to hang on to these results and the week-to-week predictions for Chapter 16 in our math program this trimester when we start working with percentages.

The predictions will also come in handy in the 3rd trimester when we do more statistics, data analysis, and probability. For the time being, this was just a lot of fun to do and to post the results in class and inspire some friendly competition between my students and me. My predictions were recorded online each week in order to stay honest with my class, and so no shenanigans were involved. Last year, a student of mine, Marcellas, was the class winner. So I am honored to take the crown with this year's competition.
