Roving Reporter (Oct 25th): Javan

Well, to start the day off we had to correct our weekend math homework with simplest form of fractions. After that, we split into our groups and one group went to library and one group did math in class. As soon as we finished library, we all went to PE.

After we finished PE, we moved our desks to different places. When we finished moving our desks, we went to recess.

Following recess, Mr. McMurray continued today's math lesson on understanding mixed numbers, and how to write a fraction as a mixed number and how to write a mixed number as a fraction. Volunteers came to the board to show how to solve different kinds of problems while everyone else took notes in their math notebooks.

Our Soul Shoppe teacher Amy stopped by to talk about what's going on in PE. We got our third "Good" ticket in a row today because there is too much talking during warm-ups. We agreed to make some changes for improvement after discussing the problem together.

When we got back after lunch we learned a little more about the explorer report and then Mr. McMurray took us to the Arts Center for Soul Shoppe where we learned about whether or not our school's new playground Peace Path was working.

At 2:50pm, we were excused to go home! That's it from me, Javan, your Roving Reporter for Room 16!
