PROCTOR SCHOOL SUPPLY LIST 2010-11, GRADE 5

These are the recommended school supplies for the boys and girls in fifth grade at Proctor Elementary School:

• Plain 1.5" binder with index tab dividers
• Box of colored pencils
• Standard No. 2 pencils; NO MECHANICAL PENCILS
• Pencil eraser; NO CAP ERASERS
• Individual-size pencil sharpener that holds the shavings (not the cheapest one available - they crack apart and make a mess)
• Pencil/pen bag (boxes do not fit well in our desks)
• Highlighters - pink or yellow
• Black Sharpie permanent markers, fine point
• Stick pens (blue or black ink)
• Pair of round-edge scissors
• Glue sticks
• Compass
• Protractor (transparent, heavy duty - the lightweight ones crack)
• 12" ruler (scaled in both inches and metric)
• Spiral page notebooks (min. 100-pages each)
• Thesaurus (child's book size, paperback)
• Large boxes of tissue
