First thing Thursday morning, we got a new student in Room 16, Kabrien. He likes to be called K.B. He’s attended a lot of schools. The class welcomed him to Room 16.
Next, we went to an assembly for Student Council election speeches. I think the candidates for president give the best speeches because they talked about important things like school fundraisers and fun days. After the assembly, most of the people running were nervous. We returned to class to vote and finish some assignments.
After awhile, we went to recess, where people were eating their snacks. Meanwhile, on the upper playground, some kids played flag football. It was the Undead Pandas versus the Raiders. Mr. McMurray was the referee. The Pandas won 14 to 6. It was a good game. Christian made an amazing touchdown! He caught the ball with the tips of his fingers!
All good things must come to an end, and so we returned to class. We worked to complete unfinished work and we talked about book orders. Mr. McMurray said that our class would get twice as many bonus points than normal if we buy some books in September. This gets us extra Bonus Points for our class.
Next, we took our Frequently Misspelled Words spelling test. We went over our math homework and did the Problem of the Day in math. After that, we prepared for our math test which was changed to Monday. Once we finished that we went to lunch, then recess.
When we returned to class, we read quietly to ourselves. Next, Tommy showed us some of his card collection. Then Mr. McMurray showed us some of his cards, and Rada showed us her rock collection. After that, we worked on our notetaking chart of Native Americans. Then we voted for Student Council Room Representatives. Rada and G'ana recieved the most votes, although everyone else running received a fair amount. But only two could be chosen.
Finally, school was out! Some of us went home, some of us went to Adventure Time, or to other activities.
